Edge is a platform that allows you to enroll in self-guided courses. These courses aim to provide supplemental learning, but they may also be used as training courses. A course may also reward a badge upon completion.

A badge certifies that you possess knowledge about a certain topic. Many courses purchased through Edge reward a badge upon completion.

Different levels of badges may be earned through different levels of mastery. For example, an "Algebra I" badge certifies that you have an introductory knowledge of algebra while an "Algebra III" badge indicates a more advanced level of understanding.

Badges earned are certified through Southern Adventist University. These badges can be added to a badge backpack such as Badgr to showcase accomplishments to others.

When logged in, you can visit the My Courses page. Here you will find the course you want to access. Just click on the "Access Course" button. This should take you to eClass, the platform where courses are hosted.

When you earn a badge, you will get an email with the badge attached. You can see all of your badges on eClass by logging in HERE, clicking the profile circle on the top right, and selecting "Profile". If you have any badges, they will appear under a section titled "Badges". You can click on a badge to view it and download it.

When you download a badge, you can take it to a badge backpack such as Badgr and upload it. This lets you have a collection that you can show to others.

Make sure that your account is verified. If you try to log in and see a message that says "Your account is not verified", please look for an email from us and follow the link to verify your account. Make sure to check your spam or junk folder.

Make sure that you password is correct. If you forgot your password, visit the Forgot Password page and enter your email. An email will arrive shortly that you can use to reset your password.
